Daisy May’s Farm

Daisy May’s Farm is a working farm and rescue centre registered as a Not For Profit Organisation. Started in 2011, the farm has provided shelter for many unwanted, abandoned, and neglected animals.

Office Manager, Frankie, spent the day helping out on the farm including mucking out the 10 fields; massaging a sick horse’s withers; feeding the horses, goats and sheep; and building a large greenhouse which will be a new home for some ducks.

The aim of the farm is to help those in need and establish a thriving smallholding, capable of supporting itself and in turn, continue providing necessities for those animals in their care.

Daisy May’s Farm actively rehomes its rescue animals and in doing so provides revenue to help provide for the remaining animals on the farm. Some animals reside permanently on the farm to help with fundraising and assist in their breeding programme.

The farm is run solely by volunteers, and provides work experience and placements to students on animal care courses, secondary schools, people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
